Speakers: 

  • Wendy Brancato is a Registered Dietitian who attended the University of Western and completed her Dietetic at the Ottawa Hospital. She has spent the majority of her career working in Business and Industry for major food manufacturers and distributors focusing on Healthcare and Senior Living Customers. She is now part of a new company TW Networx, a consulting company focusing on connecting people to food and food to people. She also has a strong personal interest in Health and Wellness for Seniors and due to this she has successfully secured a contract with Natural Care, a Medical Cannabis Service company specializing in Senior Living. 
  • Lynn Haslam is an Adult Nurse Practitioner. She has been working as a nurse practitioner in the area of anesthesia and pain management since 2005 at one of Toronto’s largest hospitals.  Recently she joined Ontario Shores as the nurse practitioner on the geriatric outreach team. She is currently completing her PhD in Aging & Health, with a research project on mobility in the older adult population. Her interest in cannabis has grown over the last two years since she came into contact with several older adults using cannabis to treat arthritis pain.
