Dietitian coverage is not a “private issue”: Working together for dietitian coverage through employee benefits plans

BUY ITEM | $ 39.95

One of the most significant things we can do as a profession to increase the public’s understanding of the importance and diversity of the work we do, is to ensure that employers across the country cover dietitian services in their employee benefits plans. Creating a consistent understanding of our roles will ensure more employees, employers, insurance companies and the public understand what we do as the experts in food and nutrition.

In this session, you will hear about the work of the Employee Health Benefits Advocacy advisory committee, and the multiple strategies, consistent messaging and ongoing intensive advocacy work that will be required by all dietitians in Canada as we continue our journey towards increasing dietitian coverage on employee benefit plans.
