There are many unique challenges in ensuring that residents or patients with responsive behaviours and dementia are well-nourished. Mealtimes can be chaotic and frustrating. Our speakers explore how different responsive behaviours can be interpreted and managed within the dining environment. Interventions and tools are provided to help attain excellent results, including resident/patient independence, optimal oral intake and pleasurable dining in a relaxed environment. The session also focuses on the many ways that these results can be achieved by reviewing best practices of dementia care and dining from around the world.
