This session provides an introduction to the ABCs of quality outcomes measurement in adult critical care practice. With shrinking health-care budgets, dietitians need to not only meet quality assurance requirements, but also to prove our absolute worth. Our speaker discusses the Analysis (the need to measure outcomes), Benchmarking (the current state) and Construct (a framework for potential implementation) in publicly funded healthcare settings with a nutrition support/ ICU focus.
