When is the ideal time to introduce allergenic foods to infants?

BUY ITEM | $ 19.95

This presentation addresses the controversial topic of the age of introduction of solid foods to infants for food allergy prevention. Our speakers describe the current evidence for allergy prevention for infants (at risk and not at risk of allergy) and international recommendations for introduction of solids for the purpose of allergy prevention.

A particular focus of the presentation will be the current evidence supporting Health Canada’s exclusive breastfeeding recommendation and food allergy prevention practice advice for dietitians in Canada.

There is regrettably a small technical glitch in the recording of this presentation. From minute 40:00 to 47:39, the video is blank, and we can hear the audio well. The full slide deck is available below as a handout.
